Spring Fling: May, 14th - They’ve held this tradition for more than 22 years. The town of Fair Haven celebrates Memorial Day along with The American Legion Post 49. June

Vermont days:  will be held from the 28th through the 29th of June. In these two days, all state park areas, and historic sites owned by the state and the Vermont Historical Museum will be available to the public free of charge. Saturday will also be a free fishing day, no license is required. Some parks will be featuring free ice cream. There will be a plethora of events to attend such as free concerts, fishing workshops, and traditional crafts demonstrations.

Summer Music in the Park

Every Thursday night throughout the summer, enjoy music from many genres at the Park Gazebo, 3 Park Place, Fair Haven. 

Apples in a Crate

July

Apple Festival: Visit the annual Applefest held in Fair Haven Park, where they have vendors, apple contests, and everything apple. Stop in for the Apple Pie contest, where may the best pie win! This event is held yearly on September 18th.

Vermont Lakes Region Annual Classic Auto & Bike Show: hosts a spectacular show of classic cars, trucks, and the new addition of motorcycles. You can also enjoy a plethora of other activities such as games, raffles, food, vendors, and amusements.

Lake Bomoseen

Come see the grand beauty that is the largest lake within Vermont’s borders. This is a popular spot for fishing, boating, and swimming in public beach areas.

Bomoseen State Park

Located in the Taconic Mountains on the shores of Lake Bomoseen. There are several slate buildings and foundations in the state park, and a self-guided slate history trail will gladly lead you through these remnants. The park also has a picnic area and a beach perfect for swimming. There’s a snack bar and boat rentals if you’re interested in going boating, or kayaking. There are plenty of hiking trails available, including one to Half Moon Pond State Park, which are great spots for going on a hike.

Half Moon State Park

This park is located in the woods of a sheltered basin surrounding Half Moon Pond. If you’re looking for a great camping area, this park contains five furnished cabins perfect for rent. There are beaches nearby, where you can sunbathe, swim, or go boating, the possibilities are endless. Want to get out more in nature? There are hiking trails available all the way back to Bomoseen State Park.
